When considering your tasty canapes, perhaps consider their odour too? Remember that most fishy canapes (smoked salmon, mackerel pate etc) will leave an un-pleasant fishy smell and in an enclosed room this can be over powering! No-one enjoys feeling nauseous at a wedding reception, so maybe think twice?
On the subject of odours at weddings; considering a barbecue for your guests? Everyone loves a barbecue, right? Most of your guests will have spent a small fortune on their wedding outfits and to ruin them with smoke and fish odours is unthinkable. I attend 2 – 3 weddings each week and after every barbecue I have to fumigate and spend a fortune on dry cleaning too. So think of the whiff before planning stinky entrees or barbecues… Just a thought 😉
Wedding caricatures today at the scenic Peak Edge Hotel near Chesterfield.
Wedding caricatures today at the quirky East Bridgford Hill in Nottingham
Wedding caricatures today at Knights Hill Barn in Kings Lynn. Steve & Sam Woods are a lovely young couple with a great sense of humour.
Wedding caricatures at one of my favourite northern venues, Holdsworth Hall near Halifax. A small affair with plenty of characters to pick on!
Local Leicestershire wedding at The Mythe Barn, Atherstone. An intimate affair, with just 20 adults, but plenty of entertainment laid on for both kids and adults, making a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Drew all my caricatures with plenty of time and little pressure, thoroughly enjoyable.
A trek across the Yorkshire Dales today to find a gem of a venue; 3 Acres near Huddersfield, a charming little stone pub hotel on the peak of a hill, with stunning views 360. Some great caricatures drawn today, though my act was nearly cut short after a young girl spat her fizzy drink over my drawing pad! Another reason I steer clear of small children 😉
A local wedding today at The Old Stables, Swithland
Drawing caricatures at a grand Pakistani wedding today at the Marriot Grosvenor House on Park Lane in London, with over 400 guests in attendance. I loved the stage dressings and the traditional outfits of the bride and groom especially.
Another castle today and back to Leeds for Hazlewood Castle.
